Monique Groeneveld

During my studies at Leiden State University (the Netherlands) I focussed on Chinese language and culture. In 1992 I had the chance to study Chinese in Beijing for a year. A very special experience! After having worked from 1994 to 2002 for a Chinese company in the Netherlands, in 2002 I founded Intercultura. Intercultura provides Chinese language courses in the Netherlands, gives workshops to prepare managers for their work in China, organises Chinese cultural events and assists Chinese companies in the Netherlands and vice versa. And now co-founder of China-Inside. From my own experience I know how valuable it is to immerse oneself in a different culture, and with the current world developments, China is the best choice!

Maria Fleuren

Already during my technical studies at Delft University of Technology and Leiden State University (the Netherlands) and my work as a consultant in telecommunications, I have always enjoyed learning languages. Evening courses in Spanish, German and French I combined with yearly holidays to language schools in South-America, Spain and Vienna. Each time I experienced how great and valuable it was to have a language holiday, and how in this way I got to know the country's language and culture so much better. Moreover, a longer stay in a city gave me the opportunity to see and experience more than I would have only visiting as a tourist or backpacker. And in many cases, I set off for some travelling afterwards with one of the other students.

A good language school is however a necessary prerequisite! When after a holiday in China I decided to start leaning Chinese, I however couldn't find such a language school combining both Chinese language and culture, and offering a great basis for a language holiday. So that's why China-Inside was founded. As a co-founder I hope you will enjoy your language holiday at China-Inside in Beijing as much as I always did in those other countries!
